Baseball/Softball Equipment Announcement
Subject Line: equipment & this upcoming season
Dear Southline Families,
This past weekend officially marked the beginning of spring, which means, it’s almost baseball season!
As we prepare for the 2021 baseball & softball season, and continue to navigate Covid-19 restrictions, we wanted to provide a quick update in regards to community equipment for this season. For this year, measures will be enacted to avoid or minimize equipment sharing as much as possible.
What does this mean for your player(s)?
- Players will need their own individual batter’s helmet (tee-ball, coach pitch, 8U & softball will need a helmet with the protective face mask), glove, baseball/softball pants and bat. Male players are required to wear an athletic supporter and cup.
- In some instances it may be necessary to share critical or limited equipment (i.e., catcher’s gear). In this instance all surfaces of shared equipment will be properly cleaned and wiped down in between uses.
Southline Little League has a number of batting helmets that will be available for sale. More information will be forthcoming. In addition, we’ve created a Southline Little League Equipment / Gear Swap Facebook Group so that Southline families can connect and swap equipment. This group is not a marketplace but rather a group where families can swap bats, gloves, cleats, etc. that their player(s) no longer use or have outgrown. I encourage you to join the group using the link below.
